Saya juga pernah merasakan bagaimana menjadi seorang freelancer murni tanpa penghasilan yang tetap setiap bulannya. Tapi yang saya heran, sampai saat ini banyak teman saya atau orang-orang di sekitar saya bilang bahwa saya punya pekerjaan yang enak (meskipun yang mencibir juga banyak, tapi ga usah dibahas kalo yang ini). Jujur saja, saya setengah bosan mendengarnya.

Bekerja di rumah atau freelancing tidak seenak atau semudah yang anda tahu atau tidak senyaman dari kesan yang anda dapatkan. Freelancing adalah tentang anda sendiri, nasib anda bisa dibilang murni ditentukan anda sendiri. Mungkin sampai disini anda masih berpikir “ah justru enak, kan gue ga perlu banyak-banyak mikirin rekan kerja gue atau apalah yang ga penting” , oke, sampai disini anda ada benarnya. Tapi, bagaimana dengan penghasilan yang tidak tetap atau masa depan pekerjaan anda yang tidak 100% jelas (jika anda bekerja di sebuah kantor ‘virtual’)? saya cukup yakin anda pasti berpikir ulang untuk menjadi seorang freelancer.

Freelancing is not an easy job, by any means. You work for yourself, which means there’s no safety net. If you don’t have enough self-motivation you’re basically screwed.

Sekian ocehan saya untuk kali ini soal freelancing yang seringkali dianggap sebagai pekerjaan yang enak dan gampang.

And until now I’ve been working on correcting some old posts (cleaning up unnecessary HTML tags on posts, and tidy them up) also to make this blog slightly simpler, I decided to remove some categories (the old posts are still here tho’) and soon I will move them to their fitting topics respectively.

Any bugs please let me know and comments or critics are welcome! :) oh, and sorry for IE6 users, please upgrade your browsers, it’s about time.

I hope this new theme could motivate me to write more :D

edit: I just remembered that July 11th was this blog’s 3^rd birthday..so Happy Birthday, Blog!

Jadi kapan mau redesain? Apalagi sekarang saya memisah antara blog dan portfolio saya di dua domain berbeda, otomatis kalau mau redesain pun kalau bisa dua-duanya sekaligus. Beberapa ide sudah ada tapi entah kapan pelaksanaannya. Semoga segera, diberi waktu, dan tidak diserang penyakit malas lagi.
