Goodbye 2008

We are going to wave goodbye to year 2008 in a few hours time, seems so fast doesn’t it? 2008 was a good year for me (I would say not bad, but generally it’s good), yes there were some highs and lows for me in 2008, by this post I would like to look back the main highlights of what I have done and achieved in 2008 :

In 2008 I started to work remotely and full time for dot tourism, a UK based company, working as a web developer who handles web stuff and a bit of multimedia, my working hours is adjusted to UK time which is 7 hours behind (6 hours during Daylight Saving Time), to be honest I dreamt about working from home since 3 years back, with a regular income, so I thank God for realizing one of my dreams. By working with a different working hours to many people here, I didn’t really see it as a problem, until I got lots of complains from my loved one about my uptime compared to hers, then I looked at myself, ah yes she’s probably right, I spent too many hours working combined with a different uptime maybe I forgot some things which I usually did with her, and she didn’t get much attention from me, but up until now, I still find it hard to switch between my life and work, this is going to be one of my homework next year.
2008 also marks my 3 years relationship with Ummy, and 27 years living on earth, also the year which I started to use dual screen for work (which I found it very helpful, thanks to my office), the first time I have my own notebook, have my own camera, moving to my hometown and living alone by renting a house, my sister got married, bought a TV, met some old friends, started to go to Malang regularly (which I haven’t done this month because of work reasons),and last but not least i finally be able to meet my boss in the real world.

Those are the main highlights of 2008 as far as i can remember. 2009 hopefully will be a better year for us, I have written down some of my resolutions but I need to re-check the list and save it for the next post.

One Million Masterpiece 2008 Calendar

Kemarin, One Million Masterpiece secara resmi meluncurkan kalender tahun 2008. Dengan tema yang berbeda-beda di tiap bulannya, antara lain water, love, our earth, cats and dogs, black and white, dsb, kalender ini menggunakan banyak karya (dibuat seperti mosaik) yang dipilih dari banyak orang yang telah men-submit karyanya ke One Million Masterpiece, and every artist is fully credited within the calendar with their name.. Kalender berukuran 11in x 8.5in (28cm x 22cm), dengan spiral di tengahnya, terdiri dari 14 halaman: 1 cover depan, 1 cover belakang dan halaman untuk tiap bulannya.

Dan saya beruntung karena nama dan coretan saya setahun yang lalu ikut tercantum disitu *well, at least it’s a tiny good thing to hear after a string of bad days i got..yay!*, di bulan februari dengan tema love.

Harganya lumayan, US$24.99 (belum termasuk ongkir), bisa di-order lewat sini atau lewat sini…ada yang mau beliin? :)
