Semoga di tahun yang baru ini kita menjadi orang yang lebih baik, bisa lebih mensyukuri segala nikmat, dan semoga tahun ini membawa lebih banyak berkah.

Seperti biasanya tahun baru, selalu ada 2 hal:

• Resolusi, harus lebih baik dan lebih teratur dari tahun yang lalu tentunya…soal detailnya, sudah terpikir dan tinggal menjalankannya,  saya lebih suka menulis dan menyimpan detailnya untuk diri saya sendiri.
• Wishlist, sudah ditulis dan sengaja saya tempel di whiteboard ruang kerja – well, siapa tahu lebih memotivasi untuk lebih giat bekerja dan terutamanya bisa lebih memanfaatkan waktu.

In 2008 I started to work remotely and full time for dot tourism, a UK based company, working as a web developer who handles web stuff and a bit of multimedia, my working hours is adjusted to UK time which is 7 hours behind (6 hours during Daylight Saving Time), to be honest I dreamt about working from home since 3 years back, with a regular income, so I thank God for realizing one of my dreams. By working with a different working hours to many people here, I didn’t really see it as a problem, until I got lots of complains from my loved one about my uptime compared to hers, then I looked at myself, ah yes she’s probably right, I spent too many hours working combined with a different uptime maybe I forgot some things which I usually did with her, and she didn’t get much attention from me, but up until now, I still find it hard to switch between my life and work, this is going to be one of my homework next year.
2008 also marks my 3 years relationship with Ummy, and 27 years living on earth, also the year which I started to use dual screen for work (which I found it very helpful, thanks to my office), the first time I have my own notebook, have my own camera, moving to my hometown and living alone by renting a house, my sister got married, bought a TV, met some old friends, started to go to Malang regularly (which I haven’t done this month because of work reasons),and last but not least i finally be able to meet my boss in the real world.

Those are the main highlights of 2008 as far as i can remember. 2009 hopefully will be a better year for us, I have written down some of my resolutions but I need to re-check the list and save it for the next post.
